The ™ symbol is used to denote a trademark. The ® symbol is used to denote a registered trademark. These symbols are used to protect the intellectual property of businesses and individuals. Trademark and registered trademark notice in the US requires using TM or R in the first occurrence of the brand name or logo.

How to type the trademark symbol

On a computer:
Press the Alt key and type 0153 on the numeric keypad.
On a phone or tablet:
Use the special characters keyboard to find the ™ symbol.
