A Dealer was Detained for Attempting to Sell Drugs in Kurgan Oblast
The drugs were allegedly found in the suspect's vehicle
A dealer was detained in the Kurgan region on suspicion of attempted drug trafficking. This was reported on Friday, February 17, by the press service of the regional police department in a statement. The incident occurred in November of last year near the village of Lomovka, Ketovskiy district. During a routine traffic stop, traffic police officers inspected a VAZ-21099 driven by a 40-year-old resident of the village of Lesnoy. The search of the car yielded 650 grams of a substance resembling hemp and a digital scale.
The man could face up to 20 years in prison
A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee under part 3 of article 30 and part 4 of article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The suspect now faces between 10 and 20 years in prison. The investigation of the criminal case is underway.
